What's a sexual assault?

Sexual violence is a difficult concept to define and identify. The laws and definition of sexual assault have changed over the years (…) all types of sexual assault are harmful. They are a manifestation of condescension, disrespect and domination of one person on another. Sexual assault is a form of violence and is unacceptable. We often believe that sexual assault consists of a man forcing a penetration on a women or a child. Although this is sexual assault, there are many different types of sexual assault that are just as harmful to the victim.
